OVERCOMING EXCUSITIES

I really want to do it but I am busy nowadays. 

I like working on it but my health never supports me.

  I am too old to do it.

 I am not that much intelligent.

 I don't get time to focus on this.

My family never supports me.

I am not that much lucky.

My husband doesn't help me.

If my wife supports me, I will do that.

I don't have enough money. 

I am from poor family.

My parents don't allow me to do this.

Only the weather is the problem otherwise I don't mind going to the gym.

               Do such thoughts ring into your mind and stop you from working on your goals? Are you getting delays in completing your tasks due to such thoughts? Are you becoming less productive? If your answer is YES to these questions and if such thoughts are hampering your personal or professional life then you are suffering from the disease called EXCUSITIES.

           Yes, it is a mental sickness. This is a disease of failures. Anyone can suffer from it. You will find it in unsuccessful people in the advanced form  whereas in the mild form in the average people.It is more dangerous than any physical diseases as it makes your life lifeless. Once you become victim of this, you are going to be mediocre person.You can't make anything possible. You will be a looser. You will be a failure. 

             What else can anyone expect if he is habitual of making excuses. when you have enough excuses for avoiding the essential actions to succeed, you need not anyone to stop you from becoming successful. You are stopping yourself from success. Excuses are the worst enemies you can ever have to make you lazy, unproductive , negative and mediocre.

         A patient of excusitise finds thousands of reasons to not to do. His mind is full of if , but , can't, don't and aren't. He uses his creativity to find different ways to avoid the action. Such excuses make you comfortable for a while and gives you short term pleasure but they kill your future. They can only give you the pain.

             Moving ahead in life is not possible with the excuses. Making excuses mean becoming stagnant pool of water. You will find yourself at the same place forever in your personal, professional , financial or even spiritual field of the life. They can make you only unsuccessful. 

      Do you want to get rid of this disease. Here are five remedies to treat your excusities.


1.BECOME AWARE ABOUT THE EXCUSES 

        When excuses become your habits, you find difficult to get rid of them. The first step is to become aware about them. Your awareness will help you to identify them as well as their results too. Once you become habitual of these thoughts you flow with them and gradually you start feeling comfortable with such excuses.

       Whenever you want to work on the goal, think what stops you from acting on that. 

Suppose,You are working on your health goals. Exercise is one of the activities, you need to perform to achieve your health goal. You have set an alarm at 5 a.m. It rings and your mind fills with the excuses. Like it's too early ,Weather is bad ,I got late to go to the bed last night Etc.

       Become aware that it is not good for your future to carry with these excuses. Throw away such thoughts and take the action.


2. USE PAIN AND PLEASURE PRINCIPLE

        Most of the time you victimize to the excuses out of the pleasure you get instantly by avoiding the action. But, this pleasure will bring you pain in long term as you won't get done your tasks.

          Following pain and pleasure principle cures your excusities. If you bear pain now, will bring you pleasure in the future. Avoid instant gratification , love the pain and success will be yours.


3. HAVE A DEADLINE TO YOUR GOALS 

       Goals without deadlines are like a race without finishing line. When you don't have any condition of specific time limit to complete your task you do it at your own space. You don't push yourself to complete it. As you make your mind for having unlimited time span you divert to do unwanted deeds. Later on these unwanted deeds become reasons to avoid essential action. You will come up with numerous excuses thinking about unlimited timespan. Goals with deadlines motivate you to act. They remind you the running time.


4. PUNISH YOURSELF FOR MAKING EXCUSES

           Just like you celebrate your success or you appreciate yourself for completing the tasks, by the same way punish yourself if you make any excuse. 

         Punishments make you alert while making excuses. Once your excuses get punished your mind will remind you not making it anymore as it has to suffer from pain. 

        Decide punishment at your own space. It should not be harmful but should be noticeable. 

5.ACTION , ACTION AND ACTION

          There is no option for action to get done the tasks. Action makes your success possible. It is a bridge in between your dream and reality. Action converts your wishes into realities. Realise the importance of action. Think about the achievements you have done because of the action. 

     Once you identify the excuses you make, uproot them by taking continuous action. Act to remove them as well to move ahead in life.

    You always have a choice to make an excuse and grab  failure or go for the action and grab success. Choice is yours.
