FACING THE TOUGH TIMES
Will you ever find out any person without problems, challenges or struggles? You know, it can happen only in the dreams. A living being with no issues is not a living being. It is only after the death,it will be freed from the life struggles. We all admire the saying that problems make life meaningful but in reality we don't want them in our lives, do we? Of course not.
Whoever and whatever you are tough times are the parts of your life. Whether you want them or don't, they can't be avoided. Facing the tough times is inevitable in everyone's life. You live a common life or great life , you have to go through the tough times.Tough times can be of any reasons. It can be due to the broken relationships, health issues, family crisis, career challenges or financial crisis. Reason could be anything but the pain you have to suffer from remains the same. It makes you feel low and demotivated. It gives you the teast of all the bad and unhealthy emotions like stress, worry, anxiety, nervousness, helplessness, negativity and many more. It makes you weak physically and mentally. You try a lot to get rid of this tough times. Anyhow you want to free yourself from the clutches of the tough times. You come up with different solutions. You utilize all the options you have and at one point you think it can't be done. You loose your hope and faith. Many give up and accept their failure. I think it is very common and normal to have such thoughts but standing firm and bouncing back is important too. Followings are the ways which will help you to face the tough times and getting back on the track.
1. ACCEPT YOUR THOUGHTS AND EMOTIONS
Tough times make you think and feel negative. Don't neglect or avoid these thoughts and emotions. Take a pause, look at them and accept them. Don't deny them. If you suppress them, they will brust out in other ways. Accept that it is common and normal to think and feel so. Don't blame yourself. Don't consider yourself a criminal for having such thoughts or emotions. First of all you are a human being and not a machine for thinking and feeling positive all the time. Accepting them can help you to channelize them to the right direction.
2. MANAGE YOUR EMOTIONS
The toughest job in difficult times is dealing with the emotions. Identifying emotions and managing them make you positive and confident enough to fight against any odd situation. Mostly you feel energetic, enthusiastic, happy , motivated and inspired when your life is on the comfortable mode and as it tunes on to the uncomfortable mode you start feeling negative emotions. Actually it is the right time to come up with the positivity when you are facing negativity in your life. If you manage this , you are going to win the battle against the tough times. Train yourself in emotional management. Work on your emotional intelligence.
3.BE GRATEFUL FOR HAVING GOOD THINGS IN TOUGH TIMES TOO.
People mostly focus on lackings in the life rather than whatever they have. You don't loose everything in tough times, you always have something that can bring prosperity back to you. You need to think about those hopeful things with lot of gratefulness. Always remind yourself those things and express your deep gratitude towards them. It will bring peace to you. It makes you hopeful. You will become optimistic.
The first thing is to make a list of things that you are grateful for. As you think of this it starts to shift your energy to the solution.
4. MANAGE YOUR FOCUS
Always thinking about how and why it happened to you can disturb you a lot. Instead on focusing on the past , look forward. Manage your focus as you spend your energy where you focus on. Focus on solutions rather than the problems. Your keen interest in the problem may make it more complicated. Show interest in the solution. Concentrate your energy in seeking the ways of getting out of the situation.
5. AVOID TOXIC PEOPLE
People around you influence your life. They motivate or demotivate you. They can be your accelerators or speed breakers. They can push you or pull you down. During tough times you should accompany with those who believe in yourself. They should think you as a winner. They should be energy providers and not energy drainers.
If you make a list of people around you, you will be amazed to see that many of them are the demotivators. They are more problematic than any other problems. They are dangerous than the real poisons as they directly attack on your minds and take away your powers. Reach to those who can not only listen to you but can understand your inner emotional storm. Support you and help you to draw the best out of you.
6. CONNECT YOURSELF TO THE UNIVERSE
Most of you think yourself limited to your problems. You don't go beyond the problem. But you are not the problem that you are going through. You are the whole universe with the consciousness. You are connected with the universe. You are greater than whatever you think of yourself. The universe already has granted you the power to deal with the tough times.
Connect yourself to the universe. Think about the relation you have with every stuff in the universe. You have intimate connections with planets, stars, moons and galaxies. Everything is showering energy on you to rise up from the tough times.
7. PRACTICE MINDFULNESS BREATHING
Our mental process has close connection to the breathing. Thinking process and emotional discharge influence inhale and exhale system. When you have positive thoughts and emotions , you have different and healthy breathing patterns where as vice versa with the negative ones. Thinking more about the problems in tough times makes problem more complicated and when it happens subconsciously, you find difficult to get any solutions. The mindfulness breathing will help you to become aware about this negative patterns as well it will make your mind calm. It definitely decreases the level of negativity. It helps you to lower stress and anxiety.
Mindfulness breathing controls your wandering around mind. Even 5 minutes mindfulness breathing practice can bring tones of comfort to your mind. Mental and physical fatigue can easily be vanished with it. It energizes you mentally to stand firm in tough times.
8. OPEN YOUR MIND AND HEART
Your thoughts and emotions are not made to suppress or to burry deep inside, they are to express and to be understood. Not expressing is nothing but carrying a heavy invisible load. Talk with your dear and near ones. Don't hesitate to think what others will think for having such negative thoughts. Open your mind and heart to let your emotions flow. Ask for the help if you need. No one will help you unless you ask for the help.Talk to your family members and friends.
9. ACTION
You might know the saying, 'this too shall pass.' This saying gives us hope but nothing will pass until you take an action to pass it. If you are sitting quietly and waiting to happen something favourable won't work. You have to do something or everything possible to you to get rid of the tough times. No one has ever set free oneself from the cluches of the difficulties without action. Action brings the results. Problems can be solved by the proper actions only. Others may guide you. They may show you the way to come out of the difficult situations but without your actions nothing will happen. You get only what you act on.
Action is a bridge between your bad times and good times. Inability and unwillingness in the performing essentials to get rid of the problems will sink you in the darkest holes of the tough times. 'Do' whatever you can to overcome the difficulties is a sure way to make life free from the hard times.
10. LOVE YOURSELF
You know, nothing is more important than yourself in your life. No one else can live your life. No one is going to enjoy or suffer except you. Your life has a meaning when you live it happily. Until and unless you love yourself , you can't live life the way you want it.
Tough times makes you disbelieving in yourself. You may loose faith in yourself. Inspite of having such meaningless feelings , love yourself. Love unconditionally.
Tough time never lasts but tough people. Make yourself enough strong and tough mentally, physically and spiritually that tough never remains tough.
