         Everyone always wants to experience endless happiness in his or her life. happiness is an intention in life. People do so many things to create happiness. They get educated, earn money, set family, look for new horizons of ventures, and get ready to face all the challenges just for happiness.

     Many try a lot of materialistic things to be happy. They search and experience tonnes of outside things to become happy, satisfied, and successful. To some extent, their tricks and ideas work but in the long term, they fail. The reason is they are focusing outside. They need to focus inside. They should focus on the self.  Paying attention to the self makes you strong inwardly to face all the challenges outwardly.

      Everything begins with the self. It is the root of all good and bad, positive and negative you have in your life. it is the center point of all the gravitational force that you possess inside you which attracts all the good things to you and creates abundance and happiness. If you could make this self strong enough the success is yours.

   Here are 6 SELFs, you must work on to live a happy, joyous, healthy, and abundant life.

1.    SELF AWARENESS

    Self-awareness is the foundation of all types of development and progress. It is the first step of transformation. It makes you more human and laid the foundation for raising your standard.

    Being aware is nothing but paying attention to your mind, body, and spirit. It is peeping into the inner world. It is always observing yourself. It is focusing on your thoughts, feelings, and behavior as well as your responses and reactions. It enables you to take the right paths for a better life. It gives you a proper idea about yourself. It helps you to know in detail about your physical, mental, and emotional strengths and weaknesses.

    As you focus more on yourself you become more alive and confident about your every move in your life. Being aware of yourself leads you to evaluate yourself objectively, and understand and manage your emotions. It supports you to align your feelings and behavior to the values and principles.

    Nobody else can understand you better than yourself, self-awareness allows you to meet yourself and identify who you are in reality.

2.    SELF ACCEPTANCE

     The change initiates with self-acceptance. It is an individual's acceptance of physical, mental, and emotional positive as well as negative traits and attributes.

    People tend to accept only the positive and good things they have and avoid accepting the negative or bad traits. But this non-acceptance of yourself makes you pessimistic and unhappy.  It creates obstacles in a way of improvement. If you don't accept yourself the way you are, how will others accept you? This will create a conflict. No one is perfect. Everyone has some flaws. Knowing the shortcomings and their acknowledgment and acceptance can turn them into strengths. If you want to get rid of all the drawbacks and negative traits, firstly you have to embrace them, and accept them. Don't be rude to yourself, be kind and helpful to yourself.

  Unconditional acceptance of self provides you a lot of possibilities to make personal improvement.

3.    SELF LOVE

      Everyone loves. You must be in love with someone but do you love yourself? This question could be left unanswered. You get mad in love with others, but when the time comes to love yourself, you get confused. Your personal growth and development can't be achieved without loving yourself. It is a state of being kind and appreciating who you are. Self-love is a cause of living life at its best confronting all the odds. You can face all the criticism and judgments people throw at you only with self-love.

      People point out your negative attributes and you start hating yourself. You hate appearance, physical deformities, mental inabilities, and so on but this will not make any difference. The difference is created only with self-love. It brings you real happiness. When you love yourself, you don't wait for others to appreciate you, admire you, respect you, or value you.

4.    SELF CARE

      You must be advising your close people for taking care of themselves. But do you take care of yourself? You often take care of others as well care for others but when the time comes to care for yourself, you come on the back foot. Most of you neglect self-care or take care only when you face any illness.

       Self-care is the process of taking care of your mind, body, and spirit for a better life. You should take care of your physical health as well as your emotions. The goal of self-care is total well-being. It is a must to live healthy, happy, and long life to care for oneself.

    You should engage yourself in self-care activities like exercising, having healthy and nutritious food, taking proper sleep, and meditation for maintaining energy, positivity, and enthusiasm in everyday life. People who care for themselves live a happy and peaceful life.

5.    SELF RESPONSIBILITY

       Self-responsibility is a key to living a life on your values and principles. It is the simple act of carrying accountability for your actions. Your life is a result of your own decisions and actions. When you are self-responsible you take this outcome positively. You enjoy the outcomes. You don't blame others if you fail to achieve positive results but you try different ways to bring the positivity out of that negativity.

    It is crucial for getting success and making you stay firm when you weigh down by mistakes, regret, and guilt. Taking responsibility for every good or bad situation in life will make you stronger and more optimistic.

  It is only self-responsible who can take risks in their life and can make a difference. You don't impose your failures on others. You held yourself responsible for whatever happened in your life. This approach makes you more optimistic

6.    SELF CONTROL

          You try hard to reach the destination but many times you give up. You become a victim of temptations. You fail to achieve big due to a lack of self-control. Self-control provides you the superpower to achieve greater in your life.

         Self-control is the ability to regulate your thoughts, emotions, and behavior when you are facing temptations. It is a must to have the self-control to create happiness in long run. It is considered a virtue in today’s world full of distractions. These distractions make you helpless and grab you in the clutches of temptations that bring you short-term pleasure but long-term pain. You must have control over yourself for making a difference in your life and creating something bigger and greater.
